Whether we like it or not, face masks are now part of our new normal... at least for the time being. It might be a bit annoying attending class, or doing the shopping, with a face covering BUT each time you put on your mask you are stopping the spread of COVID-19 and keeping our loved ones safe.

Face masks also provide an opportunity to add a new accessory to our outfits. Keep reading for my favourite face masks... not only are they super cute, but also breathable and easy to wear! Stay well, stay safe, stay stylish.

Very cute and can also be purchased with a gorgeous matching headband or mask chains (which I think are just THE COOLEST invention) .

Pro Tip: If you click through the mask section, you can also find customisable mask bags. Keep scrolling to see what I mean...

Especially in this climate, it is so important to support small business owners. Purchase adorable masks on Etsy, and it's super easy to purchase pretty much any mask desired.

Not a necessity but so cute, and helpful for organisation!!

AND last but not least.... A little bit of mask ediqute for everyone... Please remember that this advice comes purely from a place of love and in regard for the safety of others.

*** Make sure your mask fully covers both your nose and mouth. As a general rule, if you can breathe out of it, make sure sure it's covered!!

*** Wash your mask, at least once a week. I find hand washing with a light detergrent (such as from Laundress) works best and I don't need to iron afterwards. I also love to add a bit of essential oil in when I wash my face masks so that they smell fresh and floral.

*** To ensure that your face stays clean, try to wash your face immediately after taking off your mask. Or keep Simple's Micellar Facial Cleansing Wipes at easy reach. This way you avoid the dreaded mask acne or,"mask-ne" .

*** In the worst case scenario, be the odd one out...What I mean by this is that even if nobody around you is wearing a mask, please be the odd one out and wear one. It's much better to be safe than sorry.

I have also recently been making my own homemade face masks!! Please leave a comment below if you would like to see a super easy"How -to" video for at-home face masks. They can be made out of old bed linens, old clothing or any fabric swatches you have lying around.

Sending love, XOXO Ally
