5 TIPS TO ENSURE YOU ALWAYS LOOK PRESENTABLE

We have ALL experienced this infamous day: It's early in the morning, the wind is attacking your window, and your bed is your one and only comfort. All you want is to slip into your grey sweatpants and your oversized hoodie, hair like a rat's nest and fuzzy UGG boots. Or when you have tried on every sweater and jeans combo you can think of but nothing seems to match with your new pair of black booties. This whole ordeal can not only be incredibly stressful but can also put you in a bad mood for the rest of the day.

I'm sure that many of you have heard of the "Look Good, Feel Good" theory. If you want to feel a little bit better in the morning, try taking a few of these simple tricks to easily "cute-ify" yourself. I implement these on an almost-daily basis and it just makes me sleep better knowing that the morning will be easy!

No.1 Pearl Studs or Shinny Small Dangles

It seems like a very simple tool but pearls and shiny earrings brighten our faces and give us a really healthy looking glow. I love to wear pearl danglers to draw attention away from my under eye bags when I have had a restless sleep!

No.2 Invest in Outerwear

Wearing a classic, or fun jacket is a super simple way to make yourself look gorgeous. When I am ~really~ not in the mood to put an effort into what I'm wearing, but I need to go grab something at the shops, I love to wear simple black leggings, a white tee, white sneakers and a slightly oversized fun coat.

No.3 Have a plan in place for hair!

No matter how well put together your outfit is, if your hair is a total mess then you will automatically look sloppy. When I say "do your hair", I don't mean going for a professional blow out. Make your hair look clean and simple, and it will revolutionise your presentability. I have very thick hair and I know that if I go to bed with wet hair it will look absolutely crazy in the morning.

After I get out of the shower, I let my hair get dry in a hair turban. I use this one from Kitsch.

Before bed, I use the Revlon Dry Brush to quickly swipe through my damp hair, that way if I don't feel like styling it in the morning it's easy to swipe up into a sleek pony tail or a low bun.

If you aren't a "straight-hair" kind of person, there are ton's of easy ways to get quick waves. Simply sleep in braids or if you are in a real time crunch, dampen your hair with a brush and put your hair in two medium height buns. Simply blow over it with a blow drier and voilà, 5 minute curls. My favourite blow drier is the Dyson Supersonic- yes, it's worth it!!

If your hair is constantly a mess, consider looking into purchasing a silk pillowcase. They are soft on the hair and prevent tangling. And, there are tons of affordable options.

No.4 Have a pair of go-to jeans

Jeans are one of the most versatile clothing items a woman can have. They are easy to style dressed up or dressed down. But, finding jeans that fit is usually one hefty goal! As a general rule, opt for jeans that cut right above your ankles (it will lengthen your legs!) and it's better to size up than have jeans that are way too tight! For shorter girls, always look in the petite section because their jeans are tailored to your proportions. For taller girls, I recommend checking out Zara, their jeans tend to run quite long!

No.5 Don't forget to SMILE and strut your stuff

Confidence is key. Roll your shoulders back. Walk with your head high. And do not forget to smile. A smile is the prettiest thing in the whole world.
